Sadi Malot is a renowned Champagne estate that has been passed down through five generations of the Malot family. The estate was established by Socrate Malot, who named it after his brother, Sadi, in tribute to the French President Sadi Carnot, who was assassinated on the day of Sadi’s birth in 1894.
Today, Franck Malot and his daughter Cindy, along with her partner Fabien Villier, continue the family legacy. The estate spans 8 hectares of Chardonnay vineyards in Villers-Marmery and 2 hectares of Pinot Noir in the esteemed Grand Cru Verzy. All the vineyards are certified organic and have achieved the highest Level 3 Haute Valeur Ecologie (HVE) certification.
The winemaking style at Sadi Malot focuses on crafting Champagnes that embody purity, minerality, and the unique limestone terroir found in the Montagne de Reims region. As a “Recoltant-Manipulant” (RM), the estate handles the entire production process, ensuring meticulous attention from vine to label.
Sadi Malot is committed to sustainable practices, embracing an eco-friendly approach in their vineyards. They prioritize deep root penetration, employing precision equipment to reduce chemical usage, and emphasizing the protection of biodiversity and water management. This environmental focus extends to 100% of their land, with ongoing efforts towards full organic cultivation.
With a rich history, a dedication to quality, and a sustainable mindset, Sadi Malot produces exceptional Champagnes that showcase the unique terroir of their vineyards and reflect the family’s unwavering commitment to their craft.
