Patrick and Christophe Bonnefond make pure, concentrated wines (both Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie) with the top cuvées, Rochains and Côte Rosiers, adjoining La Landonne on either side.
Intended for “longue garde” (long aging), they are also a great value Côte-Rôtie (like Colline de Couzou). Les Rochins comes from very old vines, as does the Côte Roziers. Aging is accomplished in demi-muids and barrels with only a minimum of new oak.
Bonnefond has garnered high scores from Josh Raynolds at Vinous. In Revue du Vin de France, Christophe was featured as one of the producers in Côte-Rotie to watch. One-star rating in RVF Green Guide 2015.
