GRAPEVINE WINE BROKERS

Domaine Schoffit

Domaine Schoffit, a family winery located in the Alsace wine region near Colmar, France, has a rich history dating back to its establishment around 1599. While initially involved in agriculture and horticulture, it was in 1973 when Robert Schoffit dedicated the winery solely to wine production, officially becoming a “domaine.” Today, his grandson, Alexandre, runs the show. The vineyards are strategically planted in the finest areas of the region, incorporating the local volcanic soil of Rangen Thann and Clos Saint-Théobald.

At Domaine Schoffit, the cultivation of the vineyards follows organic farming practices, with an emphasis on biodynamic principles. In the cellar, traditional winemaking techniques are employed. The wines undergo slow fermentation with indigenous yeasts over a period of three months to a year, and are then aged in stainless steel tanks. The grape varieties currently cultivated by Domaine Schoffit include Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Gewürztraminer.

Overall, Domaine Schoffit upholds a commitment to quality winemaking through a combination of carefully chosen vineyard locations, organic practices, and meticulous attention to detail in the cellar.

"What goes in the direction of quality makes us agree."
