GRAPEVINE WINE BROKERS

Domaine Rapet

Domaine Rapet is an old family estate with a wine-making legacy dating back to at least 1765. Following in the footsteps of Robert and Roland, Vincent and Sylvette now meticulously manage the 20-hectare vineyard across Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny les Beaune, Aloxe Corton, and Beaune.

Nestled between Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, the vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses are a hidden gem in a serene valley, starting at the base of Corton hill. This unique location allows the estate to produce an impressive range of vintages, both red and white wines.

Domaine Rapet places immense focus on vine care and soil work, investing in traditional Burgundian methods like mechanized tilling and meticulous pest control based on climatic conditions. Precise vineyard practices, including disbudding, leaf-stripping, and perfect yield management, result in exceptional fruit from every plot. As of 2018 they have achieved the highest level of Haute Valeur Environnmentale certification.

For their white wines, Chardonnay grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed in a pneumatic press, with fermentation and aging in barrels for 12 months. Red wines are crafted from hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes, ensuring rich, fruity wines with well-balanced tannins. Fermentation takes place over 15 days, followed by aging in barrels, with 20% new oak. The estate takes great care to limit handling to preserve the wine’s true essence.

" A great wine is obtained with beautiful grapes."
