Mickaël Bourg, just thirty years old, exploits several small islets of vines in the name of Cornas, but also some land in Saint-Péray, all in organic farming. He is a great friend of Guillaume Gilles but also of Matthieu Barret, with whom he worked for many years and who helped him settle down.
Mickaël produces wines in the purest tradition of Cornas: it vinifies the syrah as a whole crop, the fermentations are supplied by indigenous yeasts and the farms are conducted in large non-new wooden containers from fourteen to eighteen months. The estate offers a singular reading of the appellation, both on fruit and finesse, but also on a register a little blood, animal.
