The Domaine des Bruyères is located in La Chapelle de Guinchay in the heart of the Beaujolais Grands Crus, 12 km south of Mâcon. Family-owned and passed down from father to son, it is now Nicolas Durand and his wife Sandrine, who steward the domaine. They handle all aspects of operation, from harvest to vinification to marketing. Covering an area of 9 Ha, the domaine’s vines have an average age of 40 years. The cultivation of the vines is undertaken with a respect for the environment (tillage, grassing, control of yields and so on). The singular approach Nicolas and Sandrine pursue allows for the full expression of the varietal and terroir.
