Domaine Serafin Pere & Fils is a prestigious winery located in the iconic communes of Côte de Nuits, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Morey-Saint-Denis. Founded in 1947 by Polish immigrant Stanislaus Sérafin, the estate now flourishes under the guidance of his granddaughters, Karin and Frédérique. With 6 hectares of vineyards, Domaine Serafin is committed to sustainable and organic winemaking practices, respecting the environment and terroir.
Christian Sérafin, who managed the estate after his father, opted for sustainable viticulture, avoiding weedkillers and fertilizers, and using organic treatments only when necessary. The traditional vinification method and 100% destemmed grape harvest contribute to producing generous wines with excellent aging potential.
Domaine Serafin’s vineyards boast remarkably old vines, some dating back to 1946, carefully tended with strict pruning, green harvests, and de-leafing. Their objective is to create powerful wines that stay true to their terroir and age gracefully, offering elegant and full-flavored profiles.
The wines are aged in 100% new oak barrels, carefully chosen to complement each parcel’s fruit characteristics. The result is concentrated and tannic wines in their youth, which, in favorable vintages, can age beautifully for more than a decade.
