Domaine Turpin, a family lineage of winemakers since 1620, passionately works to create exceptional wines for their customers, friends, and personal enjoyment. With 16 hectares of vineyards, the estate is rooted in tradition and history.
In 1991, Christophe Turpin, after completing his agricultural studies and specializing in oenology, decided to relocate the estate to Morogues, his native village, and expand the viticulture and winemaking activities there. More recently, in 2015, Thibault, having gained professional experience and holding a degree in viticulture and oenology, joined the family business, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the estate.
Domaine Turpin is situated in Morogues, one of the ten villages falling within the Menetou-Salon appellation. Their vineyards, including Poudreau, Prélon, rue aux guies, tas de vin, and guigniers, benefit from kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils.
To add complexity and character to their wines, Domaine Turpin ages some of their red wines in oak barrels for red wines and whites in acacia. This thoughtful approach to cooperage enhances the flavors and textures of their exceptional wines.
