GRAPEVINE WINE COMPANY

Castellu d'Alba

Castellu d’Alba is a winery located in the commune of Linguizzetta, in Haute-Corse, on the island of Corsica. The Cardosi family, who are the owners of the land, have a long-standing history of working with citrus fruits in the area. However, it was Aurore Cardosi, the daughter of Jean-André Cardosi, who spearheaded the revival of the vineyards and winemaking on the property. This picturesque estate is dedicated to producing exceptional wines while embracing sustainable practices, including reasoned agriculture, organic farming, and biodynamic principles.

At Castellu d’Alba, the vineyards are home to indigenous grape varieties such as Vermentinu and Biancu Gentile. These grapevines coexist harmoniously with numerous Clementine trees, creating a unique and symbiotic environment. The influence of the citrus trees on the grapevines imparts distinct aromatic qualities and adds a touch of freshness and vibrancy to the wines.
